About this project:
Ni Fu Mi Fa is a Gypsy Jazz trio (voice, guitar and doublebass) based in the Netherlands and born in 2022. We play music based in the great classics from the 30s and 40s. Due to the nature of the style and the flexibility this music gives, there is a dynamism with the public that gives an enjoyable environment where the music is always alive and different each time. The repertoire combines original tunes and own arrangements on the jazz standards with ballad, bossa, swing, and proper styles from their mediterranean roots as bolero, flamenco and some east-mediterranean folk colours. What we aim for is to release our first album and we look for the collaboration of a videographer who can help us to create a videoclip of one of our songs.
Andrea is looking for: : "If the videographer has more experience with gypsy jazz bands it would be great. We look for a traditional picture that brings the images described in our videos in the context that brings this music, which is jazz on the streets, in bars, with swing dancers, and a tint of French environments, clothes, etc, which is the origin of this style. One nice example is this reference video of the band Gadjo Dilo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmpgBxlgW2A We want to do it at street with swing dancers we could provide if possible."
